As we enter the second full week of conference play in men’s college basketball, the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats continue to set the pace with a perfect 16-0 record that includes a 3-0 start in the SEC.

This past Tuesday night, the Wildcats pummeled Missouri 86-37 to easily cover against the spread as prohibitive 24-point home favorites on 5Dimes’ closing sports betting odds. The West Coast Conference’s Gonzaga Bulldogs have quietly risen up the ranks this season all the way to No. 3 in the current AP Top 25 on the strength of a SU 16-1 start. Their only loss of the season came against then-No. 3 Arizona in a thrilling 66-63 overtime defeat as 4.5-point road underdogs. The Bulldogs failed to cover as 24.5-point favorites at home their last time out in a 79-57 win against Santa Clara. They are now 3-2-1 ATS in their last six games as part of an overall record of 9-3-2 ATS. Dukes’ stunning 87-75 loss to NC State this past Sunday as a nine-point road favorite dropped the Blue Devils from No. 2 to No. 4 in the latest AP poll. The tumble could be much steeper in the next round of rankings after Tuesday’s 90-74 loss to Miami as 15-point favorites at home. Duke is now 14-2 SU on the year and just 2-2 in ACC play.
