College Football Betting Lines at Get That Bet — Oklahoma State Tries to Get Out of Slump Against Kansas State

At one time, things were looking pretty good for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. But they have gone into the toilet in a hurry. At this point, with some very tough games left on the schedule, OSU has to be wondering whether it will even qualify for a bowl game. So they have a daunting task as they pay a visit to the Kansas State Wildcats in college football betting action that is scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET in the town known as “Little Manhattan.”

Oklahoma State began the season as one of the youngest teams in the country, having lost more lettermen than anyone, but they gave the defending national champion Florida State Seminoles all they could handle in the season opener at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, before winding up on the short end of a 37-31 score. Then they registered four straight victories, averaging over 40 points in the process, and were in the national rankings.

Then, as Get That Bet customers noticed, things got a lot more difficult. They barely got by Kansas as a 20.5-point favorite in the football pointspread, and in the last two weeks they have simply been manhandled – first by a 42-9 score at the hands of TCU, and then at home in Stillwater, as West Virginia came in and buried them to the tune of 34-10.

Maybe some of it has to do with the fact the quarterback JW Walsh got injured and Daxx German had to come in and take his place, and even though German is a guy who likes to take some shots down the field, he is simply not getting the job done. Currently Oklahoma State is on an 0-4-1 ATS run, and that does not bode well for them against a very efficient Kansas State crew.

In the college football betting lines that have been posted by the people at Get That Bet (http://www.getthatbet.com), Kansas State is a 13-point favorite, with a total of 53 points as the over/under.

Kansas State is a real possibility to capture the Big 12 championship, and currently they are the #9 team in the brand-new college playoff rankings that have just been released. Do they have a chance to get into the final four, when all is said and done? Well, in their big step up they lost a 20-14 decision at home to Auburn, but they also went on the road to beat Oklahoma 31-30. That certainly counts for something.

They are also getting very good play out of quarterback Jake Waters, who has gone four straight games without throwing an interception. And Kansas State scored a shutout over Texas last week.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State has turned the ball over twice in each of the last five games. Last year turnovers where the Wildcats’ problem, as they coughed it up five times in a 33-29 loss at Stillwater. So this is also revenge game for them, although some college football bettors might be thinking that they are looking ahead to next week’s road game at TCU.
