College Football Betting – Seminoles Re-Think Position, Suspend Winston For Entire Game

Jameis Winston, who had been disciplined by the Florida State Seminoles and head coach Jimbo Fisher for lashing out with a series of obscenities on campus this past week, had this “suspension” extended from one half of Saturday night’s game against Clemson to the entire game, it was announced last night. And the college football betting lines at Get That Bet have been taken down on that game, for the time being. The expectations are that the number on favored FSU will be reduced considerably.

Apparently someone had looked into the situation a little more and made the decision to go one step beyond the original punishment for the troubled Winston.

Whether this has anything to do with an ongoing investigation into an alleged 2012 sexual assault involving Winston is not known. But the statement that announced the updated discipline came from the university’s president and athletic director.

FSU, the defending national champion as well as the #1 team in the nation as designated by both the Associated Press and coaches polls, plays host to the Clemson Tigers at Doak Campbell Stadium at 8:15 PM ET, and will be televised on ABC.

The starting quarterback for the ‘Noles on Saturday will be Sean Maguire, who came into the program at the same time as Winston, and was also a blue chip recruit. He ran a run-oriented offense in high school in New Jersey, and has thrown 26 passes in his collegiate career. He did manage to get a lot of work done with the first team in spring practice, because Winston was with the FSU baseball team.
