March Madness Basketball Betting Report – Feb. 18

NCAAB Betting Picks – Kentucky Wildcats vs. Vanderbilt Commodores
The biggest story in men’s college basketball this season continues with No. 1 Kentucky extending its current straight-up winning streak to 26 games with Tuesday’s 66-48 romp over Tennessee as a 13.5-point road favorite on 5Dimes’ closing sports betting odds.

For anyone who loves to wager on the games it is all about covering against the spread and while the Wildcats were able to cover in that game, they are still just 2-5 ATS in their last seven outings. The total has stayed UNDER in their last two games after going OVER in their previous five games.

No. 2 Virginia is another team that continues to tear it up on the court with a SU record of 24-1, but the Cavaliers have been no bargain to wager on lately with a 1-5-1 record ATS in their last seven games. They salvaged a PUSH their last time out with a 61-49 victory against Pittsburgh as 12-point home favorites this past Monday. The total has now stayed UNDER in three of their last four contests.

Even No. 3 Gonzaga has been a nightmare for bettors since early January despite having the second-longest SU winning streak in the nation at 19 games. After failing to cover as 19-point home favorites in a 56-48 victory over Pepperdine this past Saturday, the Bulldogs are 4-7 ATS in their last 11 games. The OVER has a slight 6-5 edge over the same stretch. Check out the NCAAB Betting: NCAA Tournament Odds and follow us on Twitter.

If you are looking for a few hot teams to go with right now, you might want to start in the Big East with the No. 6 Villanova Wildcats. This past Monday’s 80-54 romp over Seton Hall extended their current winning streak to seven games both SU and ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in six of those sports betting contests.

Another hot team to wager on has been the Big Ten’s Purdue Boilermakers. They have now covered in their last seven games while going 6-1 SU. This past Sunday, they knocked-off Nebraska 66-54 as 7.5-point home favorites on 5Dimes’ closing sports betting odds. The total went OVER the 118.5-point line after staying UNDER in their previous four games.

The hottest team in the SEC on the court may be Kentucky, but bettors have been building their bankrolls on Arkansas in that conference lately. The Razorbacks have now covered in their last five sports betting games and the total has stayed UNDER in six of their last seven outings. Top
