The Atlanta Hawks are one very hot side right now, and they are storming their way into the top half of the Eastern Conference playoff queue. On Wednesday night they’ll take on the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills in a quest for their sixth consecutive road victory.

Last time out, Atlanta went to Madison Square Garden and beat the Knicks 108-107. Dennis Schroder, who is averaging 17.4 points per game, hit 13 at his 16 shots from the field. Schroder is a potentially explosive offensive player, and Atlanta handed him its starting point guard spot after dealing Jeff Teague to Indiana.

Forward John Leuer, who provides valuable minutes off the bench and shoots 51% from the field, with 6.1 rebounds per game, has a bone bruise in his knee and is questionable, as is guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who has a shoulder injury.
