NBA Playoffs on TNT Thursday Betting Report: April 23

The opening round of this year’s NBA Playoffs continue this Thursday night with a pair of crucial Game 3 matchups on TNT. First, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead against Boston in the Eastern Conference followed by Golden State trying to do the same against New Orleans in the West.

LeBron James carried the Cavaliers back to the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the East behind Atlanta, but Cleveland has been the clear favorite to win this conference ever since King James returned to the fold. So far, the Cavs have met all expectations with two solid victories over the Celtics to take a 2-0 series lead on the road.

Cleveland closed as a 9.5-point home favorite in both games on VietBets’ closing NBA betting odds and while it covered against the spread in a 13-point win in Game 1, it came up short in Tuesday’s 99-91 victory.
