Premier League preview – Battle For the title

After an explosive week of Champions League football,the Premier League makes a welcome return this weekend. There are some big matches happening which can have an effect all over the table.Giving the leaders chance to open a wider gap and those at the bottom to slump even further.

With no early kick off, all the action takes place in the afternoon. Saturday’s action see Aston Villa v Cardiff kick off at 15:00. Villa are without their big goal threat Benteke and Cardiff will be playing on the back of a great win against bitter rivals Swansea. Last years champions league winners take on a West Brom and their former assistant Steve Clarke. Jose will be hoping his men bounce back after last weeks surprise defeat to Newcastle.

Struggling Crystal Palace take on the in form Everton who have the goal machine Lukaku playing and a safe pair of hands with keeper Tim Howard. Also kicking off at 3pm is in form Liverpool against struggling Fulham who have had a bad start to the season. Brendan Rodgers will hope his SAS get back to scoring form after last weeks defeat to Arsenal.

Southampton v Hull also a 3pm kick off with new England call up trio will be looking to maintain there excellent surprise start to the season. The late kick off will see Norwich v West Ham. Neither team can score at the minute but Norwich are certainly letting them in!

On Sunday, Tottenham minus Gareth Bale take on Newcastle who are playing on the back of a great win over Chelsea last weekend. Struggling Sunderland are up against free scoring Manchester City, after scoring 7 last week v Norwich, they will be looking for more goals again this weekend. Then the big game of the weekend will see Manchester Utd v in form Arsenal.After beating Dortmund in the week, confidence will be high and Wenger will be looking to get one over a stumbling United. The final game of the weekend sees Swansea without top striker Michu verses Stoke who’s goal keeper is join top scorer for them so far with one goal!
