The San Antonio Spurs have found themselves in a heck of a spot right now, because they are going to have to get through Game 2 of the Western Conference finals without their best player, Kawhi Leonard, which leaves a tremendous hole in the lineup at both ends of the floor. So what will they do? Well, that’s something that remains very much in doubt as the 9:05 PM ET tipoff approaches. At BetAnySports, you can get reduced juice, to move the NBA playoff odds a little more in your favor, and there is also great Asian casino action with three tremendous no-download options. If you’re partial toward staying involved in the action even after the game has tipped off, you will want to check out Live Betting Ultra as well.

NBA Playoff Matchup: Game 2 – San Antonio Spurs at Golden State Warriors

San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich protested vehemently after the game about the defensive move on the part of Zaza Pachulia that led to Leonard’s ankle injury, which caused him to miss the last 20 minutes of the game. It was a controversial “close-out,” in which Pachulia turned and stepped forward with his foot on to Leonard’s foot. San Antonio had a 23-point lead at the time (78-55), but after that, it was all she wrote. Golden State, which was down by 20 points at the half, scored 18 straight points and had all the momentum in their favor. And although the Spurs hung in gamely toward the end, the Warriors were not going to be denied. The 113-111 final was a bitter pill for San Antonio to swallow, although at least they know that LaMarcus Aldridge can more than hold his own on the inside against a Golden State team that ranked only 29th in the league in defensive rebounding this season.

Most BetAnySports patrons would write off the Spurs for this game, and they might be right. But one thing we know about Popovich and this franchise is that they are resilient, and often come up with a big effort when they are not expected to. So there will be something designed to keep the Warriors, especially their superstar duo of Steph Curry-Kevin Durant, off-balance, which will certainly require a period of adjustment for the Warriors, who welcomed back coach Steve Kerr, at least for a halftime speech, which didn’t necessarily make all the difference, but didn’t hurt either.

One can expect Jonathon Simmons, who scored 18 points in Game 6 against Houston, when Leonard was out of the lineup, to play a very prominent role here. In fact, inasmuch as starting point guard Tony Parker is out for the rest of the playoffs with a torn quadriceps, Simmons may be the second most viable offensive option in this game. The chess match will once again be interesting, as San Antonio needs to get some second chance points and stands to have a size advantage, especially in those instances when Pau Gasol is in the lineup along with Aldridge and Simmons.
