PGA Tour Live Betting News: Woods, McIlroy, Scott Grouped Together For US Open

The US Open gets underway this Thursday at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and the PGA Tour could not have done a better job with its spotlight group heading in to the opening round. World No. 1 Tiger Woods will be paired up with fellow Nike start Rory McIlroy and rival Adam Scott, as the three tournament favorites go head-to-head starting with round one on Thursday.

Woods is the outright favorite in the group at 7/2 odds, and while McIlroy has struggled this year and may be a reach at 16/1 odds, Scott is the defending Masters champion and is being offered at excellent value at 20/1 odds. There is no denying that Tiger has the highest expectations as he looks to add his 15th major title, but there will be a ton of pressure playing against Scott and McIlroy and the dynamic of that group will be worth tuning in to watch.

NBA Finals Resume With Game Three In San Antonio Tuesday

The San Antonio Spurs gave the Miami Heat everything they could handle and more with a win in game one of the NBA Finals, only to implode in game two with their worst loss of the postseason. The Spurs will have an excellent opportunity to rebound this week with games three through five at home, and must get back to the fundamentals that made them so good in the series opener. San Antonio committed a ridiculous 17 turnovers in game two after turning the ball over just four times in game one, and ball security will be the key heading in to game three. The Spurs will also need their big three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili to step up in game three, after each of those players looked awful in the game-two loss.

NHL Sports Betting News: Bruins, Blackhawks Drop Puck On Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday

The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will drop the puck in the first Stanley Cup meeting between Original Six teams since 1979 when they clash in game one on Wednesday. Both teams will be eager to set the tone for what should be a thrilling finish to the 2013 season, and experience will not be an issue for either side. The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010 with many of the core players that are still around, with Corey Crawford and Bryan Bickell among the key additions that weren’t a part of that team. Meanwhile, the Bruins won the Stanley Cup the following year in 2011 with a core group that included Milan Lucic, Zdeno Chara, and Patrice Bergeron, and will see what Tuukka Rask and Jaromir Jagr bring to the table in this year’s Stanley Cup Finals.
MLB Bet On Sports News: Yankees Continue Pursuit Of Red Sox Atop AL East Division

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have traded places atop the American League East throughout this season, and now it’s time for the pinstripes to pursue top spot in the division this week. The Yankees continue a 10-game road trip with three-game sets against both the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels after taking three of four from the Seattle Mariners over the weekend, while the Red Sox embark on a seven-game trip that matches them up against the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles. Boston is less than two games up on New York heading in to this week, so the Yankees do have a chance to leapfrog them in the standings.
