Is probably a foregone conclusion of the San Antonio Spurs are going to advance to the next round of the NBA playoffs, as they are facing a Memphis Grizzlies team that is banged-up, to say the least. Memphis, as most NBA fans are aware, is going without center Marc Gasol and point guard Mike Conley, who are both out of action for the duration with injuries. The duration is only going to last two more games unless Memphis finds some kind of magic formula to be competitive with the Spurs. They have lost the first two games by a combined 58 points, scoring only 142 total points, and 24 of them in the first quarter. Admittedly, San Antonio was the top-rated defensive team in the NBA, but it seems like if Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is on a mission to get as much rest for his starters as possible, he is accomplishing that. In Game 2, for example, eleven different players logged at least 14 minutes. They set three starters down for the entire fourth quarter. BetAnySports Asian Sportsbook patrons know this is not the way it’s really supposed to be in the playoffs, but things fell the right way for San Antonio; better than Golden State, which is sitting out Steph Curry but lost Game 3 to the Houston Rockets.

Like Golden State, San Antonio has depth, and that has been reflected in a +32 margin between their own reserves and those of the Grizzlies. A lot of people talk about how “aging” San Antonio is, but Memphis’ starting lineup averages 35 years of age. Of course, the “grandfather” of that group is Vince Carter, who was at one time was one of the shining stars of the NBA, but is now playing out the string at 39. He really has no business starting for any NBA team, but circumstances necessitated it.

The Grizzlies have lost 12 out of their last 13 games, and you get the feeling that if the season lasted about eight games longer, they would have missed the playoffs entirely. Can they find any saving grace at home? BetAnySports customers should take note that they were 26-15 straight-up at the FedEx Forum this season (22-18-1 ATS), but they lost badly in their two meetings against San Antonio on friendly “turf,” dropping a 103-83 decision on December 3, when there was no excuse whatsoever because they had a full and healthy roster, then turned around with a skeleton crew on March 28 and lost 101-87.

Memphis is going to have to get a lot of production out of their most accomplished offensive player, and Zach Randolph, the power forward, has not produced thus far, shooting just 27% against a Spurs defensive set up that has been geared to make things difficult for him in the paint. One of the big problems is that the Grizzlies don’t have a big perimeter game to speak of, and that obviously hurt them again in Game 2 when they hit just two of their 15 chances from beyond the three-point arc. They also don’t run all that well, with only six fast break points in that contest. Coach Dave Joerger essentially took up the mantle from predecessor Lionel Hollins, and this is a grind-it-out team that likes to pound the ball inside. But since Gasol is out of action, that becomes much more problematic.

San Antonio is priced at +300 to win the Western Conference and +392 to capture the NBA title at BetAnySports, where you can enjoy reduced juice wagering on your basketball action, not to mention challenge yourself with the liveliest in-game betting available anywhere…… If you want convenience when you make your transactions, you can use your Visa card, a person-to-person transfer or the virtual currency of Bitcoin!
