BetAnySports College Football Betting Recap- Oct. 1
BetAnySports College Football Betting Recap- Oct. 1,A few of the results from Week 5 of the college football season could go a long way towards formulating the four-team playoff picture at the end of the year. Heading into Week 6, there are a few more games of interest on BetAnySports board as we turn the page to the pivotal month of October.
Ohio State moved to No. 3 in the latest AP Top 25 by getting past Big Ten rival Penn State 27-26 on Saturday night as a 3.5-point road favorite with BetAnySports. The Buckeyes are off to a 5-0 start straight-up with a 3-2 record against the spread. They will play host to Indiana this Saturday as early 25-point favorites.
The No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish are firmly in the playoff mix after beating Stanford 38-17 as 4.5-point home favorites in Week 5. They are a perfect 5-0 SU with a 3-2 record ATS. Notre Dame will go on the road this week as a 5.5-point favorite against the ACC’s Virginia Tech Hokies.
The top team in the ACC this season is the Clemson Tigers at 5-0 SU. However, a close call against Texas A&M in Week 2 combined with Saturday’s 27-23 squeaker past Syracuse as 24.5-point home favorites have Clemson ranked No. 4 in this week’s AP Poll. With the SEC’s LSU Tigers and the Big 12’s Oklahoma Sooners also sitting at 5-0 SU through Week 5, the Tigers could be under the gun later this season to make its fourth-straight trip to the four-team College Football Playoff. Clemson will go on the road to Wake Forest this Saturday in a game that is still off the board at BetAnySports.
One of the biggest movers and shakers in the current national rankings are the No. 9 West Virginia Mountaineers, who moved up four spots following Saturday’s 42-34 victory against Texas Tech as 3.5-point road favorites in their Big 12 opener. The Mountaineers are now 4-0 both SU and ATS heading into this Saturday’s home game against Kansas a 29-point favorites.
There was quite a bit of turnover deeper in the rankings with Duke, California and Texas Tech making an exit from the Top 25 after a very brief stay. Some of the new faces on the list this week are Colorado, Florida and North Carolina State.
