Everybody knew that the South Carolina Gamecocks were a very good defensive team, under the tutelage of coach Frank Martin, coming into the NCAA Tournament. But perhaps nobody expected that this club would be able to explode so well offensively. If Baylor can get something going on the offensive glass, and perhaps slow down the pace of play – something they have done on defense about as well as anybody – they have a great opportunity to advance to the Elite 8, and perhaps the Final Four, since Duke and Villanova are now eliminated from the East region.
