College Basketball Betting Report - Dec. 3

College Basketball Betting Report – Dec. 3, The men’s college basketball season continues to heat-up as team’s jockey for position in the national rankings in the nonconference portion of their schedule. While some of the perennial favorites to win this season’s national title continue to dominate the top spots in all the major polls, this week’s betting report will highlight a few of these teams that have provided the best early return against the spread based on TopBet’s closing betting odds.

Wisconsin is not only ranked No. 2 in the latest AP Top 25 as a result of a perfect 7-0 straight-up start, it has made some solid money for anyone consistently betting on this team with a 6-1 record ATS. The only game the Badgers failed to cover the spread was in a tight 68-65 victory against Georgetown as nine-point favorites. They will put both their lofty ranking and profitable run on the line this Wednesday night in the marquee matchup of the season as 3.5-point home favorites against No. 4 Duke on TopBet’s E sports betting odds for the game.

The Blue Devils are also off to a 7-0 SU start, but after covering in their first five games, they failed to cover a pair of monster betting lines in blowout wins over Furman and Army in their last two outings. TopBet Top Rated USA Sportsbooks has yet to set its betting odds for the total in the game against Wisconsin, but it has gone OVER in five of Duke’s last seven road games.

Another ACC team that is off to a 7-0 SU start while covering in five of their first seven games is the Virginia Cavaliers. They are currently ranked No. 7 in the AP Top 25 following this past Saturday’s 45-26 victory against Rutgers as 18-point favorites. The Cavaliers will face a familiar foe this Wednesday night as part of the ongoing ACC/Big Ten Challenge with a matchup against the Maryland Terrapins. As the newest member of the Big Ten, the Terrapins come into this matchup as five-point home underdogs. Looking back at this former ACC rivalry, Virginia has 6-1 edge SU in the last seven meetings, but it is just 1-4 ATS in the last five games.

Texas is the top-ranked team out of the Big 12 so far this season at No. 6. The Longhorns have gone a perfect 7-0 SU in their first seven games of the season and in the six games that TopBet posted betting odds, it is a profitable 5-1 ATS. Their biggest victory of the year so far came this past Sunday in a 55-54 road win against Connecticut as two-point underdogs. Texas will get a chance to really make a statement this Friday night with a road game against No. 1 Kentucky. Top
