NFL Odds Matchup: Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos

Total: 47.5

Can the Denver Broncos bounce back from a thoroughly disappointing offensive performance last week against the St. Louis Rams? Well, there is no doubt that they have the capability to do so, but there is also little doubt that they will encounter considerable resistance from a very tough Miami Dolphins defense. This game takes place at Sports Authority Field at 4:25 PM ET.

In the process of losing 22-7 at St. Louis, Denver had its lowest point total in the Peyton Manning era. And Manning was intercepted twice, bringing his total to nine on the season. When you go back a few weeks to their 43-21 loss against New England, it is no wonder why some BetAnySports Sportsbook Gamblers have lost a little faith in the Broncos.

Defense has been the principal reason this team is sitting at 6-4 and very much in the playoff hunt. The Dolphins have limited the opposition to 59% completions and 6.1 yards per attempt, and they can put some pressure on the passer, which means that Manning could be uncomfortable for much of the afternoon. Advanced metrics tell us that Miami also has the best average field position in the NFL, so there are some very strong fundamental things they can throw into this game for those analyzing the NFL odds to consider.

BetAnySports patrons know that the Broncos have improved a great deal on the defensive side as well, and they have one of the best pass rushing duos in the league in Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, who have combined to sack opposing quarterbacks 19 times. It will be critical for the Miami offensive line to keep pressure off Ryan Tannehill, who is making considerable process in his third year in the league, with 65% completions and 17 touchdowns. His ability to run with the football will be instrumental, and he has some impressive numbers, averaging 7.1 yards per attempt. Lamar Miller, who has assumed the role of the feature back, has averaged 4.9. We will see how much of a challenge this offers to the Denver defense, which has yielded only 3.3 yards per carry so far.
