NCAA Football Betting Teams That Just Cannot Seem to Get on Track

The NCAA 2012 football season is about half over and the USA Online Sportsbooks experts are readjusting their BCS Championship odds on almost a weekly basis. The only constant that has remained at the top of the polls is the Alabama Crimson Tide. In recent weeks, the Oregon Ducks have slipped into the number two position and seem to have a pretty good handle on that position. But the season has shown that anything can happen from week to week.

NCAA Betting

While the NCAA football betting experts now feel pretty confident in the Alabama Crimson Tide, there are a few teams that people were expecting more from that do not look like they will be figuring in the BCS Championship race. Here are a few teams that the football betting experts are surprised to see struggling as the 2012 season reaches the halfway point.

USC

The Trojans killed its own championship chances when it chalked up a loss to Stanford in week three of college football betting. If the Trojans had been able to get past Stanford, then it would have changed the entire complexion of the season. But the loss to a Stanford without Andrew Luck has caused the Trojans to go into a free fall in the rankings. The best sports betting sites online for USA Players experts suggest that one or two more poor outings by USC will probably cause the team to fall into the 20’s and stay there for the rest of the season.

Boise State

Boise State shot itself in the foot when it lost on opening day to Michigan State and it has never been able to recover. Michigan State has fallen clean off of all of the major top 25 polls and the Broncos are headed in the same direction. When faced with a decent defense, Boise State just could not put up points or gain yards when it needed to. In the end, the second half of the season for Boise State will be dedicated to just trying to secure some kind of bowl bid.

Nebraska

It is hard to gauge how much the NCAAF Sportsbooks betting experts really expected out of Nebraska, but any expectations for a top 25 season were in jeopardy when Nebraska lost to number 22 ranked UCLA in week two. It looks like the Cornhuskers are having the same problems on the road that USC and Boise State have been having. If Nebraska loses big to Ohio State in week six, then that will probably knock the Huskers off the rankings map.

Stanford

Everyone was wondering how Stanford would fare after Andrew Luck left and the answer is not great. The win over USC has been the highlight of an otherwise drab 3-1 season. The loss to Washington the week after the win over USC knocked Stanford down several places in the rankings. That makes the game against number nine Notre Dame extremely important. Top
